When does boating season start?

Given Florida’s enviable climate, boating season never really ends in a sense; virtually every day can be a wonderful time to get out onto the water. Boating and fishing are a way of life here, not a one-time event.

That said, you may see more demand and higher prices for services like dock fees in the winter as more snowbirds and winter-weary tourists head for the boats. And you’ll want to be prepared with a lot more sunscreen and protection from the elements during the notoriously toasty summer seasons.

There is certainly an uptick of activity in the spring as what passes for cold weather in the state finally passes, making the spring an ideal time of year to perform routine but important maintenance for your boat.
