Hot, hot and hotter……  it's July.  Slick calm mornings and afternoon thunderstorms.  This month the Sisters creek area should yield great early morning topwater bites for redfish and trout.

Some of the best conditions will be high out going tides at dawn.  Redfish bite should continue to be good this month at low tide, sight casting soft plastics and shrimp tipped jig heads.  Look for pushing fish on shallow flats and edges of creek mouths.

Flounder fishing should continue to be good this month also.  Concentrate on the down current banks of creek mouths, docks, rock structures and oyster bars.  Jig-heads tipped with mudminnows or live shrimp is an easy way to catch them.

Black drum will also be a good bet this month.  You'll want to fish the deeper bends in creeks and ledges along the ICW.  Cracked crab and live shrimp being the bait of choice.

Tarpon and sharks can be found in great numbers in the Nassau sound area.  Free lining live mullet and pogies on both incoming and outgoing tides.  Look for rolling fish and anchor or spot lock up current and drift baits back.

Remember…

take your kids fishing and create memories that last a lifetime!
